50 Cent: What Did You Actually Expect? After all the hoopla, trash talking, and outright disrespect to his peers, 50 Cent is eating his words right now. Even Jay-Z had to touch on the subject (vaguely) as he accepted his award at the AMAs last weekend: "Men lie. Women lie. Numbers don't." When Before I Self Destruct leaked just a few weeks ago, after being pushed back for a full year, everyone knew that it was karma finally catching up to 50, but no one could've predicted such minimal sales from the blockbuster artist. He debuted at a lowly (for him at least) number five, only selling 160,000 copies. In 2007, Curtis was his lowest selling album and it did over 500,000 in the first week, so you can only imagine his bewilderment at his album sales in the past week. 50 made a point of going on DJ Green Lantern's radio show and offering this statement in BISD's defense:

"For me this album is a prequel — it's full circle. When the energy around a project is the way this is, you can't really feel like it's a failure. Like, I look at the numbers and am like, 'What is this?' I've already assessed that the album has been out a month before its actual release period [due to an online leak, and the album's early digital release due to the leak]. So when you got that, you go, 'Well, what did you actually expect?'"

Boosie Changes Tune Lil Boosie talked the good talk for awhile when questioned about his impending jail time. However after his parole violation lengthened his sentence he's rapping a different song.

Boosie initially believed that the short sentence would be beneficial to his career but he now says he is remorseful and saddened about the reported 2 years he must spend behind bars.

"They're treating me on who they think I am. They judging me on Boosie Bad Azz, not Torrence Hatch," Boosie stated to Louisiana's WAFB channel 9. "I had to do these two shows these last two days to feed my family."

Boosie violated his parole by leaving the state of Lousiana.

"I blame it on myself, because things I did I wanted to. Trouble is easy to get into, but it's hard to get out. I won't be able to see my child born, yeah that hurts," he stated.

Although the marijuana conviction is his third, the 26 year old feels his sentencing was too harsh.

"If I made a mistake with marijuana, why am I not eligible for rehab?" Boosie questioned. "I've been on marijuana since a teenager. I need some rehab. Jail is not rehab."

This is what you call a stretch.

Dear Mama The mothers of Ne-Yo, T-Pain and Lil Wayne are doing a talk show called Dinner Table Discussions. T-Pain recently tweeted about the mama's gab fest but besides that and a few photos of the alleged taping not much else has been known about the show until now.

The three ladies attended an event in honor of Atlanta Mayoral Candidate Kasim Reed and Pain's mom elaborated on their upcoming show. The three amigas hope to benefit their perspective viewers "educationally, socially and culturally," says T-Pain's mother, Aliyah "Mama Pain" Najm."Our vision is to be a premier talk show that delivers a creative and informative format that assists viewers in educating and solving challenging issues."

The show is supposed to air in 2010 but has no network has been announced.

Kels Giving Thanks Although he has a very controversial history, one thing that can be said about R. Kelly is that he gives back to the community. Whether through church events or by having local community drives, R. Kelly does his part in lending a helping hand.

Kels will continue his long standing tradition as a philanthropist as he will be hosting a special Thanksgiving dinner today, November 25, for 200 men and women soldiers from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and other United States Army locations in the Washington, D.C. area. After the supper, which will be at Washington's Constitution Hall, Kels will have a live performance which will be apart of his "Ladies Make Some Noise!" tour. The soldiers get to attend the concert as Kelly's guests.

It is true that R. Kelly has some events in the past that are worthy or a head scratch or two, but he has displayed his love for U.S. Troops. Look back to 2003 when his single "Soldier's Heart" became a huge statement song in the support of the U.S. citizen's fight in the war in Iraq. He also performed a free concert for 10,000 soldiers in Fort Hood, Texas that year. Love him or hate him, he gives back to those who risk their lives for the United States of America.

So after Get Rich Or Die Trying sold 872,000 copies it's 1st week (822,000 in it's 2nd). Massacre sold 1.14 million copies in the first four days and Curtis sold 691,000 in it's 1st week, 50 Cent's latest Before I Self Destruct album sells 156,863 in it's first week debuting no. 4 on the charts, by far his worst first week out put ever. Yes the the digital age and the countries recession has affected the music industry like never before, yes BISD leaked a month early but so did The Carter II & BP3 and they we all know what Weezy did and Jay sold 450k respectively. Is the The Sound Scan Killer dead? Will 50 put out a Greatest Hits LP fulfilling his Interscope contractual 5 album obligation and ride out in the sunset never to be heard from again? Nigga please. Yes BISD has flopped by 50's standards and there's no excuse considering what the man has at his disposal (The Machine, Dr. Dre, Em, Havoc, Sha Money etc.) but remember overall 156k isn't a flop and how can you count out a man with the best average sales out put in Hip Hop history after one "brick". On another note I heard Ja, Fat Joe, Cam & Rawse have this latest diddy as their new ring tone. - ICE
