Hurricane Chris Unfazed By Sophomore Jinx Theory, "I Ain't No Nerd With This Rap"
With the upcoming release of Hurricane Chris' Unleashed, SOHH asked the rapper if he was worried about competing with the "sophomore jinx" theory.
For Chris, his confidence in rap has left him unfazed with trying to out-do 2007's 51/50 Ratchet.
"Nah, we ain't tripping off of none of that man," Chris told SOHH. "We all hood with this, I go hard and harder every time I drop. I be freestyling and I be writing, I'm a fool with this. I ain't no nerd with this rap. I go hard. [laughs] You know what I'm saying?" (SOHH)
The rapper recently explained calling himself one of the best rappers in hip-hop.
"Hand for hand, foot for foot, when it comes to rapping, you put somebody in my face and whatever category you give us, whatever you tell us to flow about, you tell us to talk about each other, I'm gonna destroy 'em," Chris promised SOHH. "I'll destroy whoever you put in front of me. Your talent shines until it gets in the presence of mine. Understand that? You see a star in the sky and it looks real bright until you go out the next day and there's a bigger star next to that star -- D-Bo, D-Bo, D-Bo. I'm the D-Bo of the rap game. I'm the D-Bo of it, watch what I tell you." (SOHH)
From Chris' perspective, his freestyle skills place him ahead of the competition.
Beyoncé's Mother Tina Knowles Files For Divorce
Tina Knowles, stylist and mother to Grammy award winning performer Beyoncé, has filed for divorce against the singer's father and long time manager, Matthew Knowles.
According to reports, Tina filed for divorce on November 11, shortly after Matthew was named in a paternity suit by Canadian actress Alexsandra Wright.
"The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners," the couple said in a statement provided to The Associated Press. "If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter."
The Knowles', married for nearly 30 years, have both been instrumental in the lives and careers of their children, Beyoncé and Solange.
Founder of Music World Entertainment, a record label division of Columbia Records, Matthew has produced not only his daughters, but also singers Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child, along with Sunshine Anderson and Trin-i-tee 5:7. Matthew is also producer of Beyoncé's 2009 film, "Obsessed".
Tina, who is part owner of House of Dereon, a fashion line launched with her daughter in 2004, acted as the costume designer for Destiny's Child throughout their career. Tina also has a new line that recently premiered on the Home Shopping Network called "Miss Tina” by Tina Knowles.
There is no word as to whether or not the decision to file for divorce was brought on by the paternity allegations made earlier this year.

UPDATE: Lil Wayne Clears Air, No Charges In Marijuana Bust
After making headlines last night for being detained by Texas Border Patrol officials on drug suspicion, Lil Wayne's lawyer said the rapper would not face any charges.
According to reports, Wayne will continue on with his road tour.
Looks Lil' Wayne will walk away from yesterday's drug bust in Texas unscathed, at least according to his lawyer. Lil' Wayne, along with 11 other people, was detained yesterday in Falfurrias, Tex. by the United States Border Patrol after marijuana was discovered on board his tour bus. The Border Patrol says Wayne and the others were questioned and charges are pending. His lawyer tells TMZ that while some people did receive citations, Lil' Wayne was not one of them. (TMZ)
Reports claimed the bust was drug-related.
Lil' Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter, is being detained by Border Patrol agents in Falfurrias due to marijuana. He is one of twelve people being investigated after marijuana was found on two of his tour buses. The Laredo Entertainment Center is saying tonight's concert is "postponed until further notice." (Pro 8 News)
In a Grammy television special earlier this year, Wayne stood by his marijuana usage.
