Former 'Hot Boy' B.G Arrested For Felony Gun Possession In New Orleans

B.G., a prominent local hip-hop artist, was arrested this week in eastern New Orleans and booked into jail on a felony gun charge, police said.

New Orleans police arrested Christopher Dorsey, who raps under the moniker B.G., or Baby Gangsta, Tuesday night following a traffic stop in which officers recovered three guns, two of which were reported stolen, according to the New Orleans Police Department.


Dorsey, 29, was booked with illegal carrying of weapons. He appeared in magistrate court Thursday morning, but the status of his incarceration, such as bond information, was not listed Thursday night in electronic court records maintained by the Criminal Sheriff's Office.

Police said Dorsey was arrested along with the two others in the vehicle, Demounde Pollard, 17, and Jerod Fedison, 28.

Officers from the NOPD's 7th District halted the late-model Chevrolet Tahoe after watching it commit a traffic violation, police said. They seized the three weapons, along with loaded magazines and two extended magazine clips, according to a police news release.

Eminem Headed Back To The Big Screen For 3-D Rap Horror Movie

Oscar-winning rapper Eminem has reportedly been tapped to star in an upcoming 3-D horror film with an underlying hip-hop theme called The Shady Talez.

While details are still being released, Em is also producing the project.

Eminem is set to star in a 3D hip-hop horror anthology entitled Shady Talez, it's been reported. The rapper will also produce the horror movie, which is earmarked for release next year. Described as a cross between The Twilight Zone and Creep Show, the movie will be produced by DJ Classicz. Trade paper Screen International reports that a four-issue comic book series is to be released alongside the movie.

According to a review of the newest Pew Internet report, average ages of the top social media sites are shifting and converging. Social media, it seems, is becoming common.

“Today, Twitter is now the second-youngest of the top four social networking sites. Its median age is 31. MySpace’s is 26, LinkedIn is 39, and Facebook is 33,” says the site.

Facebook is getting old. No, people aren’t getting tired of it, it’s actually getting old, as in its population is aging. In May of 2008, the median age for Facebook was 26. Today, it’s 33, a good seven years older. That’s an interesting turn of events for a site once built for the exclusive use of college students. So where are today’s college students hanging out now? Well, to some extent, they’re still on Facebook, despite having to share the space with moms, dads, grandparents, and bosses. Surprisingly though, they’re also headed to another network: Twitter.
