Chicago Hip-Hip Group, Project Mayhem, to Release Sophomore Album “The Mayhem Machine” The Mayhem Machine Includes the Critically Acclaimed Single, “Lo Sweatas”
One of Chicago’s most respected hip-hop groups, Project Mayhem, has released their sophomore album, “The Mayhem Machine” which includes their critically acclaimed single, “Lo Sweatas.” The Mayhem Machine, the much-anticipated follow up to their debut, “More Than Hype,” also intros the latest member of the machine, Tree, who adds a soulful voice and dubs as a producer to their unique sound and blend. With multiple songs being leaked on various online sources such as RubyHornet.com and FakeShoreDrive.com, audiences have been anticipating their full project that features production from The Pro-duk-tio-nix, Hero George and Tone Baines.
Project Mayhem’s current single, “Lo Sweatas,” produced by Tone Baines, has been gaining buzz in the industry after their innovative video, directed by Phil Lee, was premiered in Chicago earlier this year live in front of hundreds who came out specifically for the viewing. Additional songs on the album include “Just Chill,” which offers a friendly competition amongst the artists featuring each of their lyrical prowess, and also the song that has been deemed the gem on the album, “Ape Shit” that showcases Project Mayhem’s “bully tactics on speed dial.” Both songs are produced by The Pro-duck-tio-nix.
