Yes it was a total scam, a hoax, AND a FAILURE....at least it sure seems that way!




Kanye west > Def Jam > Universal Music Group

Taylor Swift > Big Machine > Universal Music Group





It doesn't take a Music Industry genius to figure out this one. In fact this strategy is used over and over by Universal.

Examples:

Kanye VS 50 Cent (both under Universal)

50 Cent Vs Rick Ross (both under Universal)


Let me also say, that I think this strategy is pure genius on the part of Universal, I just find it amazing that the general public buys into this stuff. (shout out to all my people at Universal!) Either that, or Kanye just has Award Show Turrets!





On a side note, I thought that the single ladies video was wack... I mean seriously... Beyonce and 2 other girls dancing around for a whole song? That's a video?
