50 Cent Talks Numbers

Queens Rapper Responds

50 Cent Talks NumbersWhen Jay-Z accepted an award during the American Music Awards, he made a comment ("men lie, women lie, numbers don't") that many considered to be a subliminal shot at the head of G-Unit, 50 Cent. These two have gone back and forth sporadically since 50's "How to Rob." Of course 50 took offense to Jay's slick talk and finally commented on it while working in Paris over the Thanksgiving holiday:

"When you say something as vague as 'Men Lie, Women Lie, Numbers Don't,' How do you take that as disrespect because if we did look at the numbers you'd see I did his whole career with my first two records. I did what he [Jay-Z] did in 15 Years in 4 Years," said 50.

It's unfortunate that Jay no longer partakes in direct diss records, this would make one hell of a battle.

And The Winner Is...It looks like this year's pre-Grammy celebration won't be lacking in the hip-hop department. The committee enlisted one of hip-hop's first mega-stars, LL Cool J, to do a rendition of the year's biggest musical hits during The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! - Countdown to Music's Biggest Night. Freeway's Battlefield

Philly Emcee Offers His Opinion

Freeway's BattlefieldWhen Beanie Siegel came out of the woodwork earlier this fall to attack Jay-Z's business, it seemed only natural that his right hand man, Freeway, would also have something to say. Refreshingly, Free hasn't opted to choose either side because he says that he's "cool" with both men. He has however, released a song where he touches on some of the issues that Beanie has spoken on regarding Jay and the big Roc Breakup. Interestingly enough, Freeway spits over Pat Benatar's "Love Is A Battlefield":

"I ain't saying n---as left us in the 'hood, but we ate our little food, did the dishes cleaned the plates up,"

"You was eating steak while we was eating Steak-umm/ But I never complained/ Dapped you up and tipped the waiter..."

"I can't get the president on the phone, I'm fine, 'Cause I got the evidence in my home/ The plaques/ Freezer body tracks."

Beanie Sigel does appear on a track off of Freeway and Jake One's upcoming Stimulus Package album due out in 2010.

Keri Tries Her Hand At FashionR&B crooner Keri Hilson has been tapped to co-host an episode of TV Guide Network's "The Fashion Team." The show centers on the hosts Lawrence Zarian and Daphne Brogdon offering commentary on red carpet looks from fashion faux pas to couture successes. Miss Keri has her own awesome sense of style, in both sneakers and heels. Her input on the show should be an interesting change. The episode is slated to premiere on December 6th at 7 pm ET.
