The original version of the song is featured on K'Naan's third album Troubadour which was released earlier this year. "Wavin' Flag: The Celebration Mix" will be used as the musical element throughout the competition, including on global TV commercials, and will be played at all FIFA events during the month-long event. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and this is a huge accomplishment for K'Naan. Congratulations are in order.
